More than just a camp!

Portsmouth Camp is more than just a 10-day holiness encampment. It is also a growing community of Christian believers who endeavor to work together to share Christ's love to the world.

The Portsmouth Camp Meeting Association has designated various days throughout the year as official workdays. We invite all who are willing to join us in the up-keep of Portsmouth Camp and preparing for the annual encampment. Click Here for camp work day schedule.

Association Information

The Portsmouth Camp Meeting Association is the primary organization with responsibiitly for overseeing the Camp grounds and planning the yearly holiness encampment. The Association is also responsible for Camp and summer ministries.

Who Are Association Members?

Assocation members are those individuals who believe in and desire to promote Christian holiness. They come from many parts of the country and are members of many different churches, but their primary concern is the desire to encourage and call all persons to holiness of life and community. The annual meeting of the Portsmouth Camp Meeting Assocation is held anually the last Saturday morning of the August encampment.

10 Day Holiness Encampment

The orginal concern of the Association was its 10 day holiness camp meeting held each year the first full week of August. For a copy of this year Camp flyer, click Here.

Camp Grounds and Buildings

Over the years the camp has grown. The 7 acres of land on Aquidneck Island w beautfied and buildings necessary to the life of the Camp were built. The Assocaiiton has responsibility to care for the grounds and buildings. Click to see pictures of the Grounds and Buildings.

Camp Ministries

The Portsmouth Camp Meeting Association believes that it is important for Christians to find spiritual renewal through retreat settings. Thus, the Assocation offers the use of its grounds and facilities to individuals and groups for the purpose of seeking a closer walk with God and a deeper relationship with Him through worship, prayer, and other Christian practices.
